I don’t know where my life is going–and right now I’m okay with that.

I wasn’t okay with that on Thursday, when thoughts of the various scenarios of what could take place overwhelmed me almost to the point of being unable to function.

And so the next morning, my prayer journal read like this:

Dear God,
Yesterday I crashed. I became so overwhelmed with the many directions our life could take in the next year that I froze.
I know in my head you are leading, but my heart feels as though I’ve been left stranded with no direction.
Remind me today of ways you have led in the past and help me to trust your leading in the future.

God didn’t hesitate in responding to this prayer. Right below these words, there was a verse already printed in my prayer journal. After writing my prayer, I read the verse. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified: do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

I cried.

I may not know where I’m going, but I know Who is going with me. This blog will document this unknown journey and, most importantly, the lessons I learn along the way.
